So it's been a while since I posted...hope you didn't miss me too much. :)
As a demonstrator, it's easy for me to get excited with the intricate and quite frankly AMAZING cards that people come up with that I quickly focus on making them and forget that there are some people in the world that are beginners. It's very intimidating for them to look at these cards and think about making them so I've decided to take a step back and make sure that I have basic stamping techniques available to share first, then I'll slowly expand the tutorials to make them more challenging.
With that said, today I was able to make a video tutorial on Powder Embossing. I used some older Stampin' Up Designer paper (don't you love how they never go out of style and the inks still match perfectly??), embossing supplies and had a blast making this basic, but pretty card.
There will always be a part of me that looks at these types of cards and think that they need to be more "intricate". But really, do they?? Nope. I guarantee you that when I send this card to a family friend or neighbor, they will love it just as much and maybe if they're slightly interested in card-making, this will give them enough encouragement to give it a try!
